Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Cyca collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully. By creating an account and using Cyca, you agree to the practices described here.

Important: Cyca is not end-to-end encrypted.

Your messages and calls are protected in transit, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. This means it is technically possible for us to access message content on our servers. Do not use Cyca to share secrets whose exposure would put you or others at risk.

1. Who We Are

Cyca is operated by Ocarry LLC, a company based in Webster, Texas, United States. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Cyca," it means Ocarry LLC. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Contacts

If you allow contact syncing, we upload the phone numbers and names from your device's address book to help you find people you know who use Cyca.

This includes people who are not Cyca users. When your contacts are uploaded, numbers belonging to people who have not signed up are stored so that matching works if they join later. People who are not users may contact us at [email protected] to have their number removed. Contact syncing is optional — you can decline it and still use Cyca.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Notifications

When you receive a message or call while the app is closed, we send a push notification through Apple. The notification may include the sender's name and a preview of the message, which means Apple's systems process that information to deliver it. You can turn notifications off in your device settings or in Cyca's settings.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited cases:

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Please understand:

7. Your Choices and Rights

8. Children

Cyca is not intended for anyone under 13. We ask for your birth year during sign-up and do not allow accounts for those under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

9. Security

We protect your information in transit and take reasonable measures to safeguard our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and as noted above, Cyca is not end-to-end encrypted.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Cyca after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact Ocarry LLC at [email protected].
